How to track progress with a home routine
Photos in the same light, a two-minute log and a calm view of the weeks. How to see your routine clearly, without expecting miracles.
BEEA SKIN · 5 min read
Skin changes from day to day. Light, sleep, stress, your cycle and the season all show in the mirror, sometimes within the same day. So the question “is it working?”, asked every morning, rarely gets a fair answer. A little structure helps: photos taken the same way, a short log and a calm look at the weeks rather than the days.
Start with a clear before
Before your first session, take a few minutes to set a starting point. Take your first photos, write down the products you use and choose two or three things you want to watch. Keep the list short: a long list turns tracking into a chore, and chores get dropped. The aim is not to prove anything, only to see your routine clearly.
- How your skin looks in daylight: fresher, calmer, more even-looking, or not.
- How it feels after cleansing and the next morning.
- How comfortable your sessions feel.
Photos in the same light
Photos are the most useful tool you have, but only if you take them the same way every time.
- Same place, same time of day. Daylight by a window is ideal; avoid direct sun.
- Same angles: front, left side, right side.
- Same distance. Mark the spot where you stand and hold the phone at eye level.
- Bare skin, hair back, a relaxed face. No make-up, no filters, no beauty mode.
- Every one or two weeks, not every day.
Your photos are for you. Keep them private: they are a tool for your routine, not something you need to share.
A simple log, two minutes
A log connects what you did with how your skin felt, and a notes app on your phone is enough. After each session, write down:
- The date and the device.
- The mode or colour, the minutes and the level.
- What was on your skin: gel, serum, or nothing at all under GLAM LED Mask.
- How the session felt: warmth, tingling, contraction, comfortable or not.
- How your skin felt afterwards and the next morning.
- Anything else that day: little sleep, stress, travel, a new product.
What consistent looks like
Consistency means following your device’s protocol, not doing more. Your log will quickly show whether your weeks match it.
| Device | Session | How often |
|---|---|---|
| GLAM LED Mask | 15 min, one colour | Once a day |
| AURA 4-in-1 | 5 to 10 min per mode | Every day; CURE 2 to 3 times a week |
| SCULPTA 4-in-1 | 6 min, then the neck 3 to 5 min | Once a day |
| FACE GYM 3-in-1 | Switches off after 6 min per mode | 3 to 4 times a week |
| REMS REVIVE | 6 to 8 min | 3 to 4 times a week, 24 hours apart |
What to expect, realistically
After a session, skin can look fresher or more rested. Beyond that, consistency is the routine. Some days will look better than others for reasons that have nothing to do with your device, which is exactly why you compare photos two weeks apart rather than yesterday with today.
The first weeks are mostly about the habit: the same moment in your day, the device charged and within reach. Look at the trend across several weeks, not at one evening. Results vary from person to person.
Mild warmth, tingling or brief redness during a session can be a normal response, so note it in your log. If a reaction lasts, or your skin feels irritated, pause and check the user manual.
Consistency, not intensity
- Give your routine a fixed slot, for example in the evening after cleansing.
- Keep the device charged and where you can see it.
- Missed a day? Do not catch up with an extra session. Simply carry on.
- Never add minutes or sessions beyond the protocol. More is not better.
- Review your log and photos every two weeks, not every morning.
Questions and answers
How often should I take photos?
Every one or two weeks is enough. Daily photos mostly capture daily changes in light, sleep and stress.
When will I notice a difference?
After a session skin can look fresher. Beyond that, consistency is the routine, and results vary from person to person.
Can I use my device more often to see progress sooner?
No. Keep to the minutes and frequency for your device: they are part of the method. Extra sessions do not replace consistency.
